The formula for calculating spot trading fees = trade quantity x trading fee rate
Here is an example of a BTC/USDT spot trade:
If the current price of BTC is 30,000 USD, traders can buy or sell 1 BTC using 30,000 USD.
Trader A executes a market order, using 30,000 USDT to immediately buy BTC in a spot trade.
Trader B places a limit order to sell 1 BTC at 30,000 USDT.
Trader A's fee (Taker) = 1BTC x 0.1% = 0.001 BTC
Trader B's fee (Maker) = 30,000 x 0.1% = 30 USDT
After the order is executed,
Trader A, using a market order with USDT, buys 1BTC and will pay a 0.001BTC fee (Taker). After the order is executed, they will receive 0.999 BTC.
Trader B, with a limit order set at 30,000 USDT, sells BTC and will pay a 30 USDT fee (Maker). After the order is executed, they will receive 29,970 USDT.
