Here are the steps for trading futures on the 3EX platform:
Step 1: Log in to your 3EX account and click on [Futures].
Step 2: Enter the futures trading page and set up the following before trading:
1. Select the trading pair, such as BTCUSDT or ETHUSDT.
2. Choose the margin type (Cross or Isolated) and position mode (Merge or Split).
3. Set the leverage for the selected trading pair (the maximum leverage varies by pair; refer to the trading page for specifics and check the tiered maintenance margin rates).
4. Click on the settings icon in the top right corner to adjust contract units, conditional order/ SL/TP validity, and other information.
Step 3: Fund Transfer
If your futures account balance is insufficient, click on [Transfer], enter the amount, and confirm. (If the funds are in your fiat account, you need to transfer them to the spot account from the Assets page first, and then transfer from the spot account to the futures account.）
Step 4: Open Position
Select the order type (Limit Order, Market Order, or Conditional Order）, enter the quantity or amount, and click Buy Long or Sell Short.
Step 5: If the order is a Market Order, it will be executed immediately at the best available market price. If the order is a Limit Order or Conditional Order, you can check the order status in [Open Orders] at the bottom of the page.
Step 6: After successfully opening a position, you can view the basic information and profit/loss status of the order in [Positions] at the bottom of the page.
Step 7: Set Stop-Loss and Take-Profit
During the holding period, you can set SL/TP prices in advance. When the set prices are triggered, the system will automatically close the positions.
Step 8: Close Position
• Limit Close: Choose the closing price and quantity to partially or fully close the position.
• Market Close: Close the position partially or fully at the current market price.
• Close All Positions: Immediately close the position at the current market price.
• One-Click Close All: Close all positions and cancel all orders for that cryptocurrency. Use with caution.
Step 9: View Position History
You can check all historical trade prices and profit from [Trade History] at the bottom of the page.
