Google Authenticator is a time-based one-time password generator. After entering the correct username and password, users must input a dynamic verification code to log into their account, which helps to protect account security. On the 3EX platform, Google Authenticator is primarily used for withdrawals, changing passwords, and receiving verification SMS during security settings updates.
Here are the steps to link Google Authenticator:
Step 1: Log in to your 3EX account, click on your avatar image in the top right corner to enter the user center, select “Google Authenticator,” and click [Connect].
Step 2: Download the Google Authenticator app. If you are using an iOS device, go to the App Store, search for “Authenticator,” and download it. If you are using an Android device, go to the app store or use your phone’s browser to search for “Google Authenticator” and download it.
Step 3: Use Google Authenticator to scan the QR code or manually enter the key. Open the Google Authenticator app and tap the “+” to add an account. Then, choose either “Scan” or “Manual Entry” to input the key.
Step 4: Complete the linking process: In Google Authenticator, you will see a 6-digit dynamic verification code. This code updates every 30 seconds. When you need to verify, simply enter the current 6-digit code.
Please note, the key is used to recover Google Authenticator if you change or lose your phone. Be sure to back up this key before linking Google Authenticator.
